I teach Recreational Activities (fishing, golfing, disc golf, geocaching, running, horseshoes, tennis, badminton, ping pong, bowling, billards etc) and Chemistry at Riggs High School in Pierre. I am just finishing my fourth year here at Riggs and have taught for 14 years total (8 in Brookings and 2 in Mankato, MN at MSU-M). I coach a couple of sports - basketball and assistant volleyball so that keeps me pretty busy year round. I have two cats (comedians) and a 1.5 year old dog who is finally getting the hang of things! may favorite past times are running with friends, fishing, boating, gardening, sports, biking, taking the dog for walks (one of the cats comes along too) and reading.

I was born and raised in Monterey, CA, but have lived here in SD for many years. On my off hours you'll find me working at the Fragrance counter at Herbergers in Watertown, reading books and watching the Twins!
An interesting note about me is that I was an International Exchange Coordinator for EF Foundation for 15 years and my family has hosted nine fantastic exchange students. That led to my daughter majoring in Russian Language and Russian Area Studies and also studying in St. Petersburg, Russia!

Hi all, I am a social studies teacher at Stevens High School in Rapid City and this year had students in Civics, World History, Geography, and Native American Heritage! I was raised in Mitchell but was able to live all over the U.S. until coming to the Black Hills. One of my past jobs was a dognanny in NYC. Besides teaching, I work at Main Street Market. I have two kind of grown children and a dog named Poe. I'm looking forward to this class although I don't have luck with WIKIS normally.

Prior to the part time work, I was a 6th grade science teacher at West for many years and for a few years before that at Dakota Middle School. I have two sons, 3 and almost 6, and a very busy husband. We spend alot of time doing outdoor activities with our animals and enjoy visiting family in Colorado each summer
